This was such an interesting tree in its own right. I felt like I was trying to create art from art. The tree felt like it was a living soul, holding generations of stories of pain, loss and perseverance.
Just a simple little painting…

This is the total topic as it reads…
“You are an artist with studio space in an arts center. The center is having an open-studio night for the public. Imagine you are an artist there – what art will be displayed in your studio and what sort of refreshment (food and drink) will you have out for the public?”
I have a feeling this will not be the only time I feature these trees at Columcille in Bangor. It was a stressful time for me but laying beneath these trees, I experienced a calming which allowed me to continue the quest for a new direction without the stress which often accompanies uncertainly. One of a few times I sensed without a doubt there was a greater power running this show we call human existence.

Had a visit from my nieces from North Carolina. This was the first I met little Miss Sarah. She was quite intent on gathering all of the sidewalk chalk, in the process giving her black and white panda jacket a little pastel coloring.
